Okaay.
Here's the thing.
I. Study/Research
A. You have watched at least first the anime/movie of the character you enjoy/relate to.
It is a good thing that you are familiar with the character's background such as the attitude, mannerisms and how he or she looks like.
B. Observe well the character's outfit. The every detail of the prop (if there's any) and costume design.
II. Costume and Props
A. Decide if you gonna buy or you gonna make your own.
Well in my case, i make my own costumes and my brother is the one who's in charge with my armors and weapons. Of course, I do help sometimes. :3 hoho.
B. If you have your own tailor, it is better to clear things up.
Print the reference photo or sketch. :)
C. Props: rubber sheets, pvc, wood are the common materials used .
grecco, evotite super glue: the two recommended glue for rubbers .
Paints:
Enamel - glossy but not easy to dry
Latex- good for base. water-washable . dries fast
spray paint- (y) dries fast, :)) I always use spray paint hoho though it's expensive.
Uh oh. Use emulsion first at least 3-4 coatings before you apply the paint.
It makes your props more smooth and it conceals cuts.
III. Make up
my skin is not sensitive so it is okay for me to use different brands
IV: Contact Lenses
I prefer wearing vivid colored lenses. :))) As in super vivid. This gives my cosplays an epic anime eye portration. :) There are different lenses' dia. 14.2 ,14.8, 15mm (dolly lens), 20mm (sclera lens).
As far as I know,, Twilight series is the only 15mm vivid colored lenses. :)

III. Make up
my skin is not sensitive so it is okay for me to use different brands
- Revlon air brush foundation- base foundation, photo ready.
- Fashion 21/Nichido mint cake foundation- gives my skin more like a porcelain look. ;) it lasts on my face up to 10 hours without any retouch and also prevents oily skin.
- Kate Concealer
- Etude House Pressed Powder- for finishing touch
- Kate/Nichido loose powder
- Lipstick- I often use lipstick cuz Im not comfortable with it :( hoho but I suggest to use only light pink, beige, nude ( for male cosplay make up), or scarlet.
- Etude House/Nichido Waterproof liquid Eyeliner- weee. my siblings gave me one last Christmas. This gives life to my eyes. for example: fierce, ulzzang, kawaii :)))) I cant live without this.
- Eyeshadow: I put only little black on the middle (serves as an fake eyelid). white as base, then light pink or orange. Still depends on the character I portray.
- False Eyelashes: Arg. I hate this one. Whenever I put it on my eyelids, i fail. :(
It takes 20-30 mins for me to wear this one. - Blush On:
Brown- use for contouring my cheeks to make it look slimmer,
Light orange- for loli's
Light pink.- color that I use for girly charas - Mascarra- hoho I'm using different brands. Cant mention it all.
- Eyebrow Pencil or Powder
: there's a lot of eyebrow style :
* horizontal: for innocent look/everyday and ulzzang
*thin and diagonal: usually for male cosplay make up, fierce look, manly look
*High class model style: hahaha i dont know how to explain this.. ahm long and expressive with a arch curve at the corner - In2it eyebrow powder: hoho. I use this to draw nose line instead of using it for my eyebrows.
- White Eyeliner: gives your eyes a bigger look. :) (optional)
